SELL FAQs

  1. Select a device to sell and answer a few questions to get an instant quote.
  2. At checkout, select how you want to be paid. We offer payouts via Venmo, PayPal, Bank Transfer, Gift Card, Prepaid Card, or Check.
  3. Ship your device for free using the prepaid shipping label provided in your order confirmation email.
  4. Once we receive the device we’ll inspect it then send your payout.
  1. Remove accounts: Sign out and remove your iCloud, Google, and/or Samsung account and all passwords.
  2. Factory reset your device.
  3. Pay off any remaining balance with your carrier
  4. Remove SIM or SD cards from your device: Our technicians will dispose of SIM and SD cards during the inspection process.
  5. Package your device: If you are using your own box, make sure that it is durable and use enough packing materials to protect your device. (Suggested packing material: cardboard box, padded envelope, bubble wrap, newspaper, foam, etc.)
  6. Print and stick your shipping label or use the QR code: Your shipping label is attached to your order confirmation email. Print and tape it to the top of your box. Alternatively, you can have the USPS associate scan the QR code in your order confirmation email. Before shipping we recommend that you insure your shipment against loss, theft, and damage. To add insurance, the USPS will need to create a new label for you. We will add a $5.00 shipping credit to your order if the label we provided is not used.
  7. Ship your package: Drop off your package at your local USPS location. Visit USPS store locator.

Your payment will be sent after we receive and inspect your device(s), which typically takes between 2-3 business days. We send payment the same day your order is completed.

  • You may have received a revised quote email. You will need to respond to this email before your payment can be processed.
  • Please check the tracking number on your package to be sure we have received it.
  • Please check your email for any order notifications before contacting support.

Once you select a device to sell, please read our conditions to determine your device’s condition.

 

If you aren’t sure of the condition of your item, just select the condition that you feel is most accurate. Once we receive your order we will inspect it and adjust the offer accordingly.

 

Please note that your offer could be adjusted higher or lower. If it is lower, we will send you a detailed email explaining the adjustment. If you do not respond to this email within 7 days we will assume you have accepted the offer and will initiate the payment to be processed. 

You’ll have 14 days to ship your device. As long as it’s postmarked within that window, your original quote is guaranteed. If it’s shipped after 14 days, we will still accept it, but your offer may be updated to reflect current market value.

Yes! It is a collective effort to take care of our environment. We will accept devices you wish to recycle and will dispose of them properly.

Yes, you can sell damaged or cracked devices.

Yes, we do accept water damaged devices. These fall under our Broken or No Power conditions depending on whether the phone turns on or not.

Yes, you can absolutely use the same box for more than one device. Multiple items in one box tend to bump into each other which may cause damage so make sure to package them well with extra packing materials.

If you are unable to find your device on our site submit a request for a custom quote. Be sure to include the brand, model, condition, GB size, carrier, and any other information to help us determine the value. Our team will reach out to you as soon as possible with a quote and help with any additional questions.

Yes, you can use your own box for shipping. In fact, we recommend it as it’s faster and more eco-friendly. For eligible orders, you can also select the shipping materials option at checkout, and we’ll send you everything you need. If you have any questions about shipping, our support team is always here to help!

No problem! For eligible orders, you can select the box and packing material option at checkout, and we’ll send them to you. Return shipping will still be free! Alternatively, you can pick up a box or padded envelope and packaging materials at your local post office, or use any box you have around the house.

Shipping is always free! You’ll find your prepaid shipping label attached to your order confirmation email.

That depends. Unless it is specified, you do not need to include the accessories with your device. However, some devices will require certain accessories to receive the full amount. If you are selling a MacBook, Microsoft Surface, smartwatch, gaming console, etc. your offer will be reduced if you do not include the AC adapter, charger, keyboard, or band, if applicable.

Unless it is specified, we do not offer more for accessories.

Yes, you will receive your package’s tracking number by email and will be able to track the package through the mail carrier’s website. We will also give you an update once your order has been received and inspected.

There is no limit, you can sell as many as you want. For bulk sales (10 or more), please visit our Sell In Bulk page.

We cannot accept devices that have been reported as lost or stolen or added to a blocklist or blacklist. Please contact your carrier to have this status removed before selling.

Yes, you can sell your engraved devices. Please read our conditions explanations to determine which condition to select.

We do not offer more if your device is under warranty.

Yes, any data left on your device will be erased and the device will be reset to factory settings.

SmartphonesPLUS takes environmental sustainability very seriously. We accept unused and end of life electronic devices so that they can be properly recycled. We also reuse and recycle packaging material. Any used phone cases we receive are donated. Learn more about SmartphonesPLUS recycling.

The devices that are sold by SmartphonesPLUS are lightly used or have been refurbished and are restored to normal working order. Some devices may contain light wear or scratches depending on the condition. All devices are fully functional and will be reset to factory settings.

 

Yes, we offer a warranty on every device we sell.

Sales tax will be calculated on your order at checkout.

 

What we have in stock changes daily. Generally, we keep Apple iPhones, Samsung Galaxy phones, Google Pixel phones, Apple iPads, smartwatches, MacBooks, and accessories in stock. Occasionally, we experience high demand for certain items. This may cause items to become unavailable. If you are looking for a certain device or model please contact us and we will be happy to provide more information.

Yes! We offer free standard shipping on all of our products. If you need your order expedited we have additional shipping options at checkout.

We suggest that you contact your carrier or service provider for activation. Currently, we do not offer service plans and are unable to activate devices.

  • Our unlocked phones are able to be used on any of the major US carriers including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, US Cellular, etc. 
  • GSM Unlocked phones can be used on AT&T, T-Mobile, and other GSM networks. 
  • You will still need to check with your carrier to be sure the model of phone is compatible with the network. 

If there is a carrier stated in the title of a phone such as: iPhone 16 (AT&T), for example, then that phone is only able to be activated on AT&T.

Once your order has been placed, we cannot change where it will be shipped. If you have noticed an error in your shipping address please contact us.

Yes, you can trade in or sell your device online through our trade in website.

You will receive an instant offer for your device and can mail it in for free to receive your payout.
