The Top 5 Most Anticipated Games of 2024

If you enjoyed 2023 and the loads of games that it had to offer, then you are going to be looking forward to the games that will be released in 2024. I mean, who isn’t?

Many of the games poised to be released in the new year appear to be very promising and full of potential as they introduce better graphics, physics, and even improved gameplay for players. A big factor behind the improvements is the move by game developers from their previous gaming engine to Unreal 5.

There is a wide range of games that are set to be released this year, including games that serve as continuations of different prequels, while others are finally making their long-awaited debut.

So, here we will only be looking at the five games that you should be looking forward to this year.

1. EA FC 25

The most anticipated and most played game over the last few years has to be FIFA (now called EA FC), and as such, the release of EA FC 25 on September 23, 2024, is one of the most anticipated events of the year. Having released EA FC 24 on September 23, 2023, the current iteration of the world’s most beloved football game, EA FC 24, was massively received, and FIFA 25 promises to be an improvement in many areas of the current game. Fans can look forward to the usual updates on teams, players, and kits. What’s more, we can expect improvements in the overall gameplay of EA FC 25. It’s definitely a game to look forward to this year.

2. Star Wars Outlaws

Who doesn’t love a new Star Wars game?

The new Star Wars Outlaws game that is coming out this year is looking stellar. The early peeks have left us eager for more.

The game engages in an adventure in faraway space where players play as Kay Vess, who tries to survive in a ruthless and unforgiving world ruled by crime and criminal organizations. You are expected to play to survive in this open-world terrain, accompanied by your new furry pet and companion, who comes with a few tricks up its sleeve.

3. Avowed

If you’re into games that have an out-of-this-world experience and an environment that is beyond the natural and ordinary, then Avowed is one of the games you should look forward to this year. Built off the unreal gaming engine 5, set in an unnatural space environment, the battle experience here is very different. It’s an FPS game, only that this time the weapons that you use vary from magic wands to sword shield guns, and even you can wield more than one of these weapons at a time to improve the given experience. Obsidian put their back into this one, and I highly recommend this game for the pleasure of its graphics and the fun of it.

4. Prince of Persia

The Lost Crown: This one is for those of us who remember playing Prince of Persia on our PS2s and PS3s while growing up. And finally, the franchise is set for a return, and its gamers are highly anticipating it. The new Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown holds the promise of being one of the best games you can get this year. The new game is set to 2.5D and has the same puzzle-solving and pack features as usual. The icing on the cake has to be the boss fights, which can be very large and yet very dynamic based on the acrobatic combat abilities granted to the new blade-wielding character.

5. Tekken 8

(Yes we know Tekken 8 has been released already)

2023 was a good year for a lot of games, especially for those who had an interest in fighting games. If you are one of them, then I’m glad to tell you that Tekken 8 is one that you should definitely try this year packed with dynamic graphics as well as combat skills, abilities, and even characters that you will remember from the previously Tekken series. This game looks awesome, and it’s definitely one of the games that’s going to make this year a very memorable one for us all. It’s time to get your thumbs blistered again.
