Apple AirPods are one of the most popular wireless earbud options.

AirPods are one of the most popular wireless earbuds on the market and for good reason. They’re small, lightweight, and easy to use. But there’s more to AirPods than just their basic functionality. There are several hidden features and tips that can help you get the most out of your AirPods. So in this article we’ll tell you some of our favorite Apple AirPod features, tips and tricks.

Find Me Feature

“Find Me” is a feature that allows you to track both ears of your AirPods. But with the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen, you can also track your AirPods case, and it has a speaker to help you locate it easily.

To turn on Find My iPhone on your Apple AirPods:

  • Ensure your AirPods are paired with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  • Open the Settings app, tap on your name, and Select Find My. Tap Find My Device > Choose the name of your AirPods and ensure Find Me is turned on.

To enable tracking when your AirPods are offline, follow these steps:

  • Open the Settings app, tap Bluetooth, and click on the More Info button next to your AirPods.
  • Scroll down and make sure Find My Network is turned on.

If you can’t locate your AirPods using Find Me, activate Lost Mode to lock them and display your contact information.

Conversation Boost

Conversation boost is another one of those AirPod features that’s really useful in everyday life. As the name implies, uses the microphones in your AirPods to focus on the voices of people in front of you. This can help you hear them more clearly over background noise. This feature is really nice situations where you want to hold a conversation with people but are in a noisy or crowded place.

Here’s how to turn on Conversation Boost on Apple AirPods:

  • Make sure your AirPods are connected to your iPhone or iPad.
  • Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual >  Press Headphone Accommodations (make sure the Headphone Accommodations switch is turned on). Next, go to Transparency Mode > Toggle the Conversation Boost** switch ON.

Note: You can also add a shortcut to Conversation Boost in the Control Center. To do this, open the Control Center and tap the +  button in the upper-right corner. Then, scroll down and select Hearing.

Live listen is one of the unique AirPod features we love.

Live Listen

Live Listen is a cool AirPod feature that allows you to listen to conversations even if you’re not in the room. It does this by using your iPhone as the mic instead of your AirPods, and whatever your iPhone hears, you hear. If you haven’t already, pair your AirPods with your iPhone. Open Control Center, tap the Hearing button, and tap Live Listen.

You’ll see a small microphone icon appear in the top-left corner of your screen. This means that Live Listen is turned on and your iPhone is streaming audio from its microphone to your AirPods or Beats headphones.

Adaptive Audio

Adaptive Audio is one of the newest AirPod features, as it was just announced a few weeks ago at WWDC 2023. This new feature allows your AirPods to quickly switch between transparency mode and noise cancellation mode. It does this by using a pretty smart algorithm that decides which mode is needed depending on your environment.

For example, if you’re walking down a busy street, your AirPods will increase the amount of noise cancellation to block out the traffic noise. But if you stop to talk to someone, your AirPods will reduce the noise cancellation so you can hear them clearly.

This feature only works on the AirPods Pro 2. To initiate the Adaptive Audio feature, make sure that your AirPods Pro 2 is connected to your iPhone or iPad. Open Control Center, tap the Noise Control button and select Adaptive.Apple AirPods

Airpods Or Earplugs?

Airpods can’t just blast loud sounds into your ear; they can also prevent the really loud sounds from getting into your ear like an earplug. Adaptive Transparency is a neat feature that reduces loud noise to 85 decibels, which is safe for your ears. This feature is only available on AirPods Pro and AirPods Pro 2.

How To:

  • Open Settings, Tap the AirPods tab just under your Apple ID banner.
  • Under “Noise Control,” tap Transparency to enable it.
  • Scroll down and toggle on the switch next to Adaptive Transparency.

Connect Your AirPods to Apple Watch

Did you know you can connect your AirPods to your Apple Watch? This is really useful when you want to do things like go for a run or exercise but don’t want to carry your iPhone along but still want to use your AirPods.

Here’s How:

  • First, put your AirPods in the case and open the lid.
  • On your Apple Watch, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center.
  • Next, tap on the Bluetooth icon.
  • Your AirPods should appear in the list of devices. Tap on them to connect.
